if you decide to shop Katy Budget Books Sale this week, please consider purchasing a used children’s book  (or two!) for .35 to help support a program the MRHS Student Council is coordinating called Books Abroad.  This program is a community based drive to collect books and school supplies for the children of Nri in southern Nigeria.  If you would like to read more about the program before you decide to donate, please visit the main KISD website for details, or send me any questions you have. 

   We are almost set up to start receiving donations, but in the interim period you may bring any donations to my room, West T-3 and place them in the boxes there.  Books Abroad is also accepting school supplies; I will place the informational flyer in your boxes later this week so you can read the details if you decide to donate.   

Please consider helping support this very worthy program with the donation of a few gently used children’s books or teaching materials.
