Katy ISD Board Sets Salary Schedule for 2008-09

The Katy ISD Board of Trustees approved a salary increase for all staff during a special meeting held Monday evening. 

Teachers in steps zero through 10 were the primary target of the new salary schedule as most teachers fall within this range. Starting salary for new teachers increasing to $43,300.00. Teachers in steps 11 and beyond will receive an increase of $1,300.  In addition, all non-teacher groups except T-1, T-2, T-3 and C-1, C-2, C-3 received a three percent increase of the current midpoint. 

Employees classified as T-1, T-2, T-3 received a five percent increase of their current midpoint and those classified as C-1, C-2, C-3 received a six percent increase of their current midpoint. Increases are based off of the following midpoints:

T-1          $85.00 is the midpoint (daily rate)
T-2          $100.00 is the midpoint (daily rate)
T-3          $115.00 is the midpoint (daily rate)

C-1         $9.25 is the midpoint (hourly rate)
C-2         $10.50 is the mid point (hourly rate)
C-3         $11.75 is the mid point  (hourly rate)
