Katy ISD Exit-Level TAKS Testing Retest Dates

Students who did not receive a high school diploma because they did not meet standard on sections of the Exit Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) or Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAAS) will have the opportunity to retake the necessary portions of the tests in July.

Students currently enrolled in school who need to retest are automatically registered, but those who are out-of-school must register in Austin by June 13.   Registration packets are available at any high school campus, district central office, or education service center. The registration form must be completed and received in Austin, Texas, by 5 p.m., June 13. Forms received after this date will not be processed.  Individuals can register for the TAKS/TAAS test online by accessing the web site http://k12testing.tx.ncspearson.com.

TAAS tests will be administered on the following dates: Writing, July 15; Mathematics, July 16; Reading, July 17. 

TAKS tests will be administered on the following dates: English, Language Arts, July 15; Mathematics, July 16; Science, July 17; and Social Studies, July 18.
