Principals selected for new campuses opening August 2008
Katy ISD announced earlier this month the principals that will lead the district’s four newest campuses opening August, 2008: Elisa Farris, Elementary 30; Carra Fleming, Elementary 31; Rick Hull, Junior High 11; and Patti Shafer, WoodCreek Junior High. Read more…
AP Exams Available for Katy ISD students
Katy ISD high school students may register for Advanced Placement (AP) exams in the counselors’ office at their home campus March 3 through12, 2008. All students who are enrolled in AP courses in Katy ISD are strongly encouraged to participate in AP exams. Students are not required to take the exam, and the exam has no bearing on the high school course grade. Read more…
Katy ISD, Red Cross and Chamber to Host Adult CPR Training
Katy ISD, The American Red Cross and the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor an adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) mass training March 1, at the Cinco Ranch Junior High gymnasium from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., 23420 Cinco Ranch Blvd. Read more…
Katy ISD Announces Presidential Scholar Candidates
Six Katy ISD students were selected as Presidential Scholar Candidates, which places them among 2,600 high school seniors who were chosen from the 2.8 million students projected to graduate in 2008. Read more…
Student Artwork Heads to the Houston Rodeo
It’s rodeo time all around Houston, even in the art classrooms of Katy ISD. Nineteen art students were selected by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo committee to display their western-themed artwork at the Houston Rodeo and to compete for placement in the annual Rodeo auction. Read more…
