Welcome to the Administrator Connection!

It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the 2008-2009 school year! As your administrative staff, we will be leading the Cimarron staff to "Camp Cimarron"! We look forward to meeting all of you who are new to our school community and anticipate continuing our productive relationship with our returning families!

The Cimarron staff is committed to helping your child have a successful year. We ask for your support and active involvement in our school and your child's education. The following are ways you can get involved:

• Join the PTA!  Our PTA provides bus transportation to field trips for our students; informational periodicals including Scholastic and National Geographic for each student in grades 1-5; materials for our literacy library and school library; microphones for our music program; DARE support for our 5th graders; spirit wear for our campus; and so much more!  Your small donation goes directly to the students of our campus!
• Volunteer!  Even if you work, we can send things home for you do complete in front of the TV at night!  Every volunteer hour counts for our students!  We need volunteers to read to our students through the PAIRS program, volunteers to help our new librarian, and even volunteers to help with events such as field day and our carnival.  Contact the school if you would like to contribute your time for your child!
• Read With Your Child!  We would love for each of our parents to read a book or chapter with their child each night.  Reading is the one subject area that affects each of the others.  Instilling a love for reading in your child is a great gift to give!  Read much and read often!
• Contact Your Child's Teacher!  Teachers love hearing from their parents.  Let them know they are doing a great job!  If you have concerns, please feel free to contact your child's teacher through email, phone, or by sending notes.  Communication is the key to a successful year!
