Yearbook Distribution
The 2012 Panorama yearbook will be distributed to those who pre-ordered beginning Wednesday, May 16 after school in Room 1221. Students must have a current school ID or valid photo ID to claim pre-ordered yearbooks.  A limited supply of extra copies will go on sale, first come, to seniors on Wednesday, May 16 after school and to underclassmen beginning Thursday, May 17 after school.  The cost is $75 payable in cash or money order only. No checks please this late in the school year. For students with early dismissal or after school bus transportation you may pick up your yearbook before school in the same location on Thursday or Friday morning. Final day for scheduled pick up of yearbooks will be Monday, May 21 before school, during all lunches, or after school in Room 1221.

Katy ISD Announces High School Semester Exam Schedule Exams to Carry New Weight for Secondary Students
Katy ISD is adjusting the weight of semester exam grades for high school students from 25 percent to 15 percent of the total semester grade.  This adjustment will align junior high and high school semester exam grading standards.

“Aligning secondary semester exam grading standards will make communication to students and parents more consistent and emphasize student success and efforts on coursework during the term.  In addition, with the STAAR/EOC testing this year and the design of a new student management system in Katy ISD, adjusting the total weight that semester exams have on final grades is timely,” said Patricia Paetow, Area 2 Assistant Superintendent. “This adjustment will align all secondary student semester exam standards, grades six through 12, starting in spring 2012.”

Seniors
Seniors must complete the KISD Senior Survey online prior to Senior Chill-Out on May 22nd.  Seniors will not be able to pick up their Cap and Gown until they have completed the Senior Survey.

CRHS Graduation
will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 7pm in the Leonard E. Merrell Center.  Graduation is viewed as a time of achievement, recognition, and most all – dignity.  We want to make this day important and memorable for you and your student.  Please review the Spectator and Student Guidelines prior to June 1. 

The CRHS Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 1, 2012 will be streamed live on www.merrellcenter.org.

The State of Texas 2010-2011 School Report Card
a report required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), was recently published for CRHS.  The report provides information concerning student performance, as well as information concerning expenditures, average class size, and student/teacher ratios.  The School Report Card for CRHS can be found on the Katy ISD website, the Texas Education Agency website, or you may pick up a copy for review in the front office of CRHS.
