Virtual Open House Parents please read this memo to learn more about Cinco Ranch High School's Open House.
Robotics Social The Robotics club social will be October 10th from 5 to 7 pm in the 9th grade commons. Come for food, fun, and a brief demonstration past years robots.
Football Game Change Our game with Morton Ranch High School scheduled for Thursday, October 16th has been moved so that it would not conflict with college night at the Merrell Center on that night. If you have kids involved in any other KISD activities on that night, they will go on as planned. The game has been moved to Saturday night at 7:00 at Rhodes Stadium.
Friday is a pep rally day! This is a “buy out” pep rally meaning that tickets are available for you to purchase during all 4 lunches. Tickets will be on sale on the stage, and they are $1 each. Don’t delay! There are limited tickets available for each grade level and each lunch period, so buy your ticket at the beginning of lunch! Also, if you are a sophomore, junior, or senior, when you buy your ticket, be sure to sign your name to the Mustang target. This enters you to win a CRHS spirit gift basket! Go Cinco…let’s beat Taylor!
Future Teachers Club Our Future Teachers Club will have its next meeting right after school on Monday, October 13, right after school in room 1302. This is our first meeting with our newly elected officers. It's a great time to visit and learn what TAFE is all about. Please join us and see what we have in store for 2008-2009 at CRHS!
It’s Breakfast Biscuit Time! Future Teacher’s Club will begin selling our popular Chick Fil A Breakfast Biscuits every Tuesday before school. We’ll be in the Rotunda.
The Cinco Ranch Theatre Department under the direction of Kathy Gallas-Beyer and Stephen Brown are pleased to announce this fall’s production of The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 by John Bishop. The show is set to open October 16 at 7:30 pm and run thru October 18 in the Cinco Ranch Performing Arts Center. The box office will be open October 6 thru October 18. The hours of operation are 10 am to 3 pm Monday through Saturday. For ticket information the number is 281-237-5290.
The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 is a hilarious comedy with mystery and intrigue where Elsa Von Grossenknueten, a wealthy patron of the arts gathers a group of neurotic Broadway stars to solve the murder of her dear friend BeBe McAlister. Will the stage door Slasher return to claim another victim? Join us to see what the outcome will be.
Best Buddies We will be conducting peer buddy interviews Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school in room 1232. Sign up sheet is on the board. Please consider this opportunity to build a special one to one friendship with one of our students.
The 7th Annual CRHS Cougar Stars Golf Tournament is fast approaching. Enjoy a great day of golf and support our hard-working, high-kicking, award-winning Cougar Star Dance Team on Friday, November 7, with an 8am shotgun start at the Cinco Ranch Golf Club. The CRHS Orchestra is having a fundraiser on Tuesday, October 14 at Skeeter's. From 4 to 10 pm the orchestra will receive 20% of proceeds of items purchased. You have to mention the orchestra to the cashier in order for us to get credit. Thanks for helping out the CRHS Orchestra!
College T-Shirt Day! Tuesday, Oct. 14 has been designated as College T- Shirt Day for CRHS as part of EDUCATION: GO GET IT week (Oct. 13-17). Teachers are invited to join the PTSA for $6, thus making it a college t-shirt and jeans day for those who join by then. Students, please wear your favorite college t-shirt on this day!
CRHS VIVA! Show Choir presents Jazz it Up A compilation of favorite jazz standards spanning the last 70 years, this Friday, October 10, at 7:30 pm. Come to the Main Commons and enjoy an evening of great songs, coffee and dessert. Cost of admission is $5.00 per person.
Class of 2011 Fund Raiser The sophomore class of 2011, is selling sonic cards for $5.00. This is over a $20 savings. Please look for the sophomore class officers or you can stop by the sophomore office (Room 1211) and purchase a card of your own!
Project V.O.T.E (KISD Mock Election) Students must register if they wish to be eligible to vote. Voter registration is October 2 through October 15. Early voting will be October 27 through October 29. Election Day is November 4. All registering and voting is done through this website: projectvote.katyisd.org. Students can vote from any internet connected computer. Students use their student ID and log in to vote. All Katy ISD data will be tabulated and reported by 4pm on November 4.

Destination Imagination Do you consider yourself to be creative? Do you like puzzles? Do you like to find creative ways to solve problems? Do you like to think about things from different perspectives? Do you like building things? Do you have a flair for the dramatic? Do you like working in cooperative groups? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Destination Imagination may be for you. Stop by Mrs. Hill's room (room 1006) in the ninth grade center if you would like more information about DI.
Free Math Tutoring Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society, offers FREE tutoring every Wednesday after school from 2:45 – 3:30. If you can use extra help with your math, please come by room 2214 today after school.
Book Fair Due to the cancellation of Cinco Ranch High School Open House caused by Hurricane Ike, the English Department Book Fair, originally scheduled that night, has been rescheduled for Tuesday evening, October 7 from 6pm until 8:30pm. This Book Fair is an opportunity for parents to purchase supplementary novels and vocabulary workbooks required for all grade levels of high school English classes, but this does not include HCC dual credit English classes or classes held at Miller Career Center.
In addition to the Book Fair, parents may use this opportunity to order a 2009 Panorama yearbook, and parents of seniors can order a senior ad to appear in the yearbook.
Certified Lifeguards needed for the Cinco Ranch High School home swimming and diving meets. Salary is $12.00 an hour, minimum of 3 hours each meet. There are 11 home meets this season, you can work some meets or all of them. Moreover, you can make even more money by working other District schools meets. PSAT at CRHS Wednesday, October 15, 2008 -- All of the 10th and 11th grader students will be taking the PSAT test on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 7:30 to 10:40 a.m. What students should bring to the test: two No. 2 Pencils (NO mechanical pencils), an approved calculator, Social Security Number, Email Address, and Photo ID. CRHS will not supply students with a calculator. Therefore, students who desire to use a calculator for the test will need to bring their own. A scientific or graphing calculator is recommended, but not required. If you want to use the calculator, please remember to bring it on Wednesday, October 15th!
Mandatory ID Badges Effective immediately, all students must present their school ID when checking into after school detention and Saturday detention. Students who report without an ID will not be permitted to enter and will be referred to the grade level AP for failure to serve. If you have lost your ID, replacements cost $3 and may be requested at any time through the main campus front office. Replacement IDs are available for pick-up on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.
