About Cinco Ranch Jr High
Cinco Ranch Junior High flourishes on the philosophy that positive attitudes maximize opportunities for students. Coyote faculty and staff model enthusiasm, high energy and performance, and a high involvement in school activities. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Coaches, fine arts directors, and administrators coordinate schedules to allow students to be active in several programs. A dynamic intramural program provides an opportunity for 6th graders and non-varsity 7th and 8th graders to participate in a supervised sport competition after school. Junior Achievement is integrated into the instructional program in grades 6 and 7.
Clubs and co-curricular activities include: Art Club, band, cheerleaders and mascot, Chess Club, choir, Circle of Friends (works with Life Skills students), Coyote Company (theatre arts club), DARE Role Models, Destination ImagiNation (problem-solving competition), History Club, Junior International Thespian Society, National Junior Honor Society, orchestra, pep squad, Reader's Circle, Outdoors Club, Spanish Club, Student Council, Student Leaders and yearbook.
Parents respond to school needs by providing thousands of hours in support and leadership for a variety of programs.
