KUDER Career Program
7th and 8th graders have had an opportunity to assess their career interest, skills, and values.  Ask your student to log in to www.kuder.com and have them show you their results.  This program will not only help the student explore career options, but it will also give the student tools for reasearching financial aid/scholarships, post secondary education, and teach them how to build a resume.

SAFETY NET
Katy ISD has implemented a plan called Safety Net.

How do students make an anonymous tip?   Students fill out a written form and turn it in to a teacher, counselor or administrator.  Also, there are drop boxes located in the counselors office and library.  These forms are readily available in all classrooms and in central locations such as the library, counselors or principals offices.  Students may leave the filled out form on a teachers desk or place it in a drop box on the campus.

Will parents be able to turn in anonymous tips?    Yes.  Safety Net forms are available online at www.katyisd.org.  You will find it under the Parent section.

What happens when a tip is turned in?   All reports are taken seriously and are thoroughly checked out by a campus administrator or counselor.  Parents will be notified when their student is identified as needing assistance or is the subject of an anonymous concern.  Appropriate action by campus administrators will be taken with consideration to the situation and the age/maturity of the student.  Disciplinary infractions will be handled in accordance with the Katy ISD Discipline Management Code.
