Pep Squad 2009-2010
Please check this website often and students, PLEASE, listen to the announcements during CNN.
Mandatory meeting, September 24, 2009 in room 164 from 2:35-3:30. Students must have a way home at 3:30. Pickup will be in front of the school. We will be reviewing rules and expectations. * If your child is a member of the theater crew team they will attend the pep squad meeting and then join the crew around 3:30 on Sep. 24, 2009.
Shirts and poms were ordered on Friday, September 11th and they should be in by September 24th. :)

Our first pep squad meeting went well yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, the shirts and poms didn't come in on time and the girls were not able to get them yesterday. They will receive them on Monday, Sep. 28th during advisory.
Our first game is MONDAY, SEP. 28TH!!!!! We will attend the 7th grade "A" game at Cinco Ranch Jr. High. All pep squad members are to be at the stadium by 6:45. Parents are responsible for getting their child to and from the game. The girls have been told to meet me in the stands. Once they are in the bleachers they will not be allowed to have their cell phones or any other electronic device out. They also will not be allowed to have food. They may go to the restroom one time during the game. If your child is riding home with another pep squad member you will need to write them a note and they are to give it to me once they arrive to the bleachers. They will need to wear their pep squad t-shirts and either jeans or jean capris (no shorts allowed). They will also need their student ID's with them at all times. We will meet you in front of the stadium once the game is over for you to pick up your child.

Tuesday, Oct. 6th, 2009 --- CRHS--- 8th Grade "C"---- 4:45
Our first pep squad game was a little crazy due to the lightning! I am hoping that next week is better. We will be attending the Tuesday, Oct. 6th, 8th grade "C" game at 5:00. All pep squad girls are required to be in the bleachers by 4:45 p.m. This week there will be assinged seats in the bleachers and the girls will not be alowed to leave for any reason. They will be in the stands for the full hour and fifteen minutes, so if they need to go to the restroom they need to do it before 4:45 bleacher time. They need to wear their pep squad shirts and bring their poms. Also, we will exit the field together at 6:00 even. If the game finishes earlier or later it will not matter, 6:00 is when we will leave. We will walk in a line out to the front side walk and wait for parents to come to us for pick up. The girls will not be allowed to come to you when it is time to leave. If for some reason the weather gets bad we will exit to the weight room at CRHS and wait for the 6:00 time to leave. PEP SQUAD MEMBERS WILL NOT PARTICIPATE DURING TODAYS (OCT. 13TH)GAME DUE TO WEATHER!
This will be our third and final game for the semester. The pep squad members need to be in the stands at 5:45 sharp. They will need to be picked up in front of the stadium at 7:00. Anyone who would like to help with the game please contact me via email sheliaacobb@katyisd.org.
By the end of this gmae on Oct. 13th, the pep squad members should have 4 events under their belt. They will need 6 to try out for cheerleader. There will be a "end of semester meeting" on Dec. 8th from 2:35-3:35 in room 164 which will count as an event (that will give the members 5 events if they attended all). We will discuss the upcoming spring semester and their progress towards events. There will be 4 more events offered in the spring semester so if your child has missed an event please don't worry they will have a chance to make it up. We will attend the "B" volleyball game here at CRJH. Pep Squad members need to arrive at 5:45 and they will need to be picked up at the bus drop off at 7:00. This volleyball game is replacing the Oct. 14th football that we missed. I am in need of parent volunteers so please let me know if you can help. sheliaacobb@katyisd.org or 281-237-7316

Pep Squad members will participate in the Oct. 30th pep rally. This pep rally will count as an event for the members. By now members should have 5 events if they have attended all the events that were offered. Please remember that pep squad members must have 6 events to try out for cheerleader. Next event will be a mandatory meeting that is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8th. Then we will pick back up in the spring with more events!

Pep Squad members will have a mandatory meeting after school from 2:40-3:30 in room 164. We will discuss event progress and the upcoming spring semester. By Dec. 8th pep squad members have been offered 6 events! There will 4 more events offered in the spring semester so please be aware of the mandatory 6 events to try out for cheerleader rule!
