This school year 14,700 volunteers donated over 761,321 hours.
That’s the human resource equivalent of $16,588,988
(even though we all know volunteers are priceless!).

Golbow Elementary wins $5,000 from Safe Kids/Fed Ex
International Walk to School Day Contest!
There is much celebrating today as the Golbow Blue Jays swoop in for the win in the Safe Kids/Fed Ex Facebook photo contest. We were one of 72 entries to enter the contest using promotional materials won from Safe Kids/Fed Ex. The sponsors then selected 10 finalists nationwide to be voted on using Facebook. The Golbow students will receive a visit from the Safe Kids Ambassador, Grover of Sesame Street, and a $5,000 check for educational materials. Thank you to Wendy Stares, a Golbow PTA officer, for planning and organizing the International Walk to School Event!
