Chess Club

Chess Club meets on Thursdays from 3:45-4:40 in the LGI. Here is a list of dates for the fall semester.

If you are interested in volunteering to help with the Chess Club, or you have a chess set you would like to donate, please contact Jason Brown at 281-237-8400 or by email at jasonabrown@katyisd.org .

This software for Windows is called “Dasher” and can be downloaded from the web site. Installation instructions are furnished. People can press “play against the computer”, and have a choice of a dozen programs of various difficulties.

If a person is a member of U.S. Chess, he/she can also play against live opponents, who range in ability from beginners to in  most cases very competent. The service is free for 6 months.
