Subjects Taught: REACH, Language Arts in 3rd and 4th grades and all subjects in 2nd grade.
Personal & Academic Achievements: Teacher of the Year-Exley Elementary 2009, Awarded the Texas PTA Honorary Lifetime membership in 2003.
Hobbies: Reading, cooking, traveling, going to museums, and the movies.

My family moved to the states when I was a toddler, so my parents and I learned to speak English together. I have an older brother and a younger sister, but I'm the only one that has children. My husband, Joe, was born in and grew up in California, but his family is from Mexico. So our two children, Julia and Jaden, are Yugo-Mexican! It's a great combination. Our cultures are actually very similar. Joe is a firefighter for HFD and Willowfork Fire Department. He loves his career just as much as I love mine! |

Personal & Academic Achievements: I graduated magna cum laude from Houston Baptist University in 2004 and Valedictorian from Southwest Christian Academy in 2000. I currently hold the required certification to teach ESOL students and maintain state requirements to teach gifted and talented students.
Hobbies: I absolutley love traveling! The beach is like my home away from home! I also enjoy swimming, scrapbooking, and shopping in my spare time:)
Personal Note: I have been married for 3 wonderful years... no kids just yet! I have a fabulous Miniature Dachshund named Hershey that keeps me entertained daily! Daryl and I are very proud of them. We are also proud that we are adapting well to life post SCI. Our strength and faith are pulling us through and keeping us going!
Hobbies:I love to walk and jog as often as possible. Nothing beats a great book or magazine by the beach or pool! I enjoy researching everything to do with SCI including new equipment, hobbies, traveling, and networking with others living with SCI.
