Name:  Dana Sturdevant         

Hometown:   Houston TX

Education/College: Texas State University; Bachelors of Business Management

Years in Teaching/Education:  This is my 6th year teaching. 

Places Taught:       Spring Branch ISD, Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD and Katy ISD

Subjects Taught:   Kindergarten, 1st grade and currently 2nd grade

Personal & Academic Achievements:   I am a mother of 2 wonderful children.  My oldest will be in Kindergarten this year!

Hobbies:   I love spending time with my family, reading and scrapbooking when I have time.

Personal Note:  I love teaching and I am so happy to be back at Exley this year!

Personal & Academic Achievements: Graduated Cum Laude, Member of Golden Key Honor Society

Hobbies: Reading, collecting Caldecott award books, and  traveling

Personal Note: I love learning about new things.  I can not envision myself doing anything else more worthwhile than being in a classroom and teaching children!

Education/College: I have a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences from U of H.

Years in Teaching/Education: This will be my 8th year teaching.

Personal & Academic Achievements: I have been married for 9 years and have a beautiful 9 month old daughter. In 2006 I was a recipient of the Texas PTA lifetime membership award.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, going to the zoo, and swimming.

Personal Note: This is my second year in Katy ISD and this year I am looking forward to being the 2nd grade team leader. I currently hold teaching certificates in ESOL, GT, Early Childhood, Music, as well as general and special education for classroom teachers in 1st-8th grades.

 Years in Teaching/Education:   Just completed my 3rd year teaching.

Hometown:   I am a native Houstonian.

Education/College:  I graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Years in Teaching/Education:    This will be my tenth year to teach. 

Places Taught:       I taught for eight years in Fort Bend ISD.  This is my second year in Katy.

Subjects Taught:   This will be my eighth year to teach second grade.  I also taught third grade for two years.

Personal & Academic Achievements:  I am the proud mom of a wonderful first grader. 

Hobbies:   I  enjoy swimming, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.

Personal & Academic Achievements: I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 2 years now. We have a very spoiled yellow lab named Riley who gets all our love and attention! :) 

Hobbies: Hanging out with family and friends, shopping, traveling, and UT football games.
