Personal & Academic Achievements: This summer, I received Level 1 Certification in Kodaly Music Education from University of Houston. I’ve sung with Opera in the Heights, the Houston Chamber Choir, and I sang the National Anthem at Minute Maid Park back in 2001. I sing and play piano professionally and even had a CD of Christmas songs made back in 2002. But my best performance is singing “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” every day to my baby girl, Evelina (Evie).
Hobbies: I love movies, especially 80’s movies (The Breakfast Club, The Big Chill, etc.) I play piano and sing. And my guilty pleasure is watching “Friends” re-runs. (I even have all 10 seasons on DVD)
Personal Note: I have a wonderful husband, Richard. We will be married 2 years in October. And we have, as mentioned before, a little 7-month old girl named Evelina after my late mother. She’s a doll and loves to scoot around in her walker; she just mastered going around corners! |
