The Katy ISD summer break starts June 2 and continues until the first day of the 2008-09 school year which is August 25. A limited staff will be on campus during the summer but most student-related personnel will be gone. 

As we near the 2008-09 school year, please check back here to view important updates regarding various events and deadlines. Also, check Katyisd.org  for registration information as well as district-wide events such as open houses, orientations, school supply lists, and transportation information. In addition, one can access our parent programs such as the Parent Information Center and MealPay from the district website.

Anyone with Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003 can install a Compatibility pack which will allow them to open, edit, and save Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents that were originally created in office 2007.

PRE-ENROLL ONLINE !!!!

New students (Pre-K thru 5) can now enroll online at https://preenrollment.katyisd.org prior to attending registration.  Please bring your completed enrollment printout with you as verification.  If you have not enrolled online prior to registration, computers will be available onsite for you to do so before registering your student. 

Please allow additional time when you arrive to complete this process.

August 11th

Kinder – 5th  9-11 am and 1-3 pm

Pre-K  12-3 pm ONLY

Pre-K Requirements:

-If qualifying by language bring your child for testing

-If qualifying through the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines bring Proof of Income (pay stubs with GROSS income of all working persons in household or food stamp verification letter with number)

-If qualifying through the Military, a Department of Defense photo ID card or Statement of Service from the Installation Adjutant General

-If qualifying through DFPS, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services letter or Foster Child Documentation.

 

All Registrants:  Having copies already made of your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, social security card, proof of residence* and any other qualifying documentation (above) will save considerable time for you on the day of registration. 

 

BRING ORIGINALS FOR VERIFICATION

 

*Proof of Residence: A utility bill (water, gas or electric), Lease Agreement, Settlement Statement if you have just purchased the house, or Earnest Money Contract and approval letter from Mortgage Company (with new property address listed) if you have not closed on your house yet.

 

CLOSED REGISTRATION DATES: August 13, 15, 20

 

Reminder: 07/08 Students who completed the year at JWE will be automatically reenrolled for 08/09.
