Katy Elementary has earned the Texas Successful School Award Exemplary Rating for the past eight years. Katy Elementary is proud to be one of 26 Texas public schools named by U.S. Deparment of Education as 2006 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School. For three years Katy Elementary has been named to the TBEC/JFTK Honor Roll and also received a 5-star rating from Texas Monthly Magazine. In 1995, Katy Elementary was the U.S. Department of Education's Grand Prize Winner of the Strong Families/Strong Schools Most Promising Practices Competition.
