Counselors Subsite
The Katy High School Counseling Center offers a comprehensive program of services and informational resources to students, parents, community and staff. The major emphasis is placed on the individual student and his/her needs. The counselors work as a team in cooperation with faculty, administration, support staff, parents, and community volunteers to provide these services.
As a part of the Guidance and Counseling Curriculum, Katy High School will periodically invite colleges, universities, military recruiters and other potential employers to be available to students as informational resources regarding career options following graduation. Parents are advised to talk with their students about whether they want them to interact with these speakers when they visit campus. Students are expected to be responsible for adhering to their parents’ wishes regarding the college/military information opportunities.
The counselors’ office not only provides academic guidance and support to students, but also provides social and problem-solving support as necessary to students and their parents. Our goal is to provide students and parents with information to promote healthy, safe and intellectually prepared students as they become healthy, active and responsible adults.
