The Safety Net is a provision for KISD students or parents to anonymously report or notify school officials of incidents or actions that may pose danger to individuals or the school. The Safety Net begins with the use of a form that is completed and placed in a Safety Net box. The MCE Safety Net box is located in the library. The form states the problem and does not have to be signed. School counselors and administrators are responsible for checking the boxes and facilitating a follow up to the tip. If a parent wishes a Safety Net form, a copy of the form can be accessed and copied from the KISD website. The Safety Net form is then brought to the school for deposit. It is not submitted electronically. The safety and security of students is a priority of Katy ISD.
