Katy ISD 2009 - 2019 Instructional Calendar
Summer hours are Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The Katy ISD summer break starts June 5 and continues until the first day of the 2009-10 school year, which is August 24. A limited staff will be on campus during the summer but most student-related personnel will be gone.
As we near the 2009 - 2010 school year, please check back here to view important updates regarding various events and deadlines. Also, check Katyisd.org for registration information as well as district-wide events such as open houses, orientations, school supply lists, and transportation information. In addition, you can access our parent programs such as the Parent Information Center and MealPay from the district website.

Ram Camp Tuesday, August 11 from 9:00 am -11:00 a.m.(This is for incoming 9th graders)
Ram Express Saturday, August 15 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Schedule and textbook pickup(This will be for all 9th , 10th, 11th & 12th graders)
MCHS - A Year in ReviewStudents, Faculty and Administration
Mayde Creek High School Choir will be presenting “Beauty and the Beast” at the MCHS Performing Arts Center.
Five students from the Mayde Creek High School Orchestra advanced to make Region 23 Philharmonic Orchestra and performed in the Region 23 Philharmonic concert under the direction of Dr. David Cole the director of Orchestral Studies at Sam Houston State University.
The MCHS sophomore class officers led a fundraiser for one of their classmates who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The boys track team competed in their first practice meet against Strake Jesuit and Bellaire HS.
MCHS artists participated in the HLSR art competition.
Our NJROTC unit competed in its first-ever competitive drill meet at Tomball HS.
MCHS student wins a Silver Key Award at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
MCHS junior placed 2nd in the Sons of the American Revolution state essay contest.
MCHS student won Grand Champion Sheep at the Katy ISD Livestock show.
Mayde Creek High School junior chosen to participate in the Honeywell Scholar at Presidential Classroom program for the 2009 program year.
Out of the 17 students who participated at the Future Business Leaders of America Regional Competition at Seven Lakes High School , 13 placed in one or more events.
The Mayde Creek High School yearbook staff was recognized by Taylor Publishing, a major publisher of yearbooks nationwide, with an Award of Excellence honoring its accomplishments in yearbook design and coverage.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of Mariner which had an excellent performance at UIL One Act Play District Contest.
Members of the MCHS Wind Symphony for earning all superior ratings at the Region 23 UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest. The band received 6 out of 6 first division ratings. This combined with all 1st divisions at marching contest gives the Ram Band their first sweepstakes award in 7 years.
The Mayde Creek team performed well against some very tough competition at the Sam Houston State Tournament, making the playoffs once again.
The first Lady Ram golfer in school history to advance to the state golf tournament.
