Parents,
Please join us for a life-changing program. The attached flyer has more details.
Mayde Creek Junior High Monday, November 30, 2009 9:45 – 10:45 Mayde Creek Junior High Cafeteria
What is Rachel’s Challenge?
Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion coupled with the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in America.
Powerful video/audio footage of Rachel's life and the Columbine tragedy holds students spell-bound during a one hour school presentation that motivates them to positive change in the way they treat others.

Mayde Creek Junior High Gator Groups – 2009-2010 School Year
The Counseling Department at Mayde Creek Junior High is organizing small groups of students who would like to meet together to discuss issues that may be interfering with academic progress or their sense of well being. Most groups are organized as a series of 4-8 meetings, usually scheduled once a week during the school day and lasting from 30-45 minutes. The groups are composed of 6-10 students, a counselor and on occasion an additional faculty member or the school psychologist. Groups on the topics or Divorce or grief or being a new student here at MCJH are being formed. Please use the following link for an application and more information.

When we have heavy rain
When there are heavy rains, the Mayde Creek will sometimes flood. Here is a helpful map for when there are high waters. Keep it in your car, it can be a lifesaver!

| Tutoring
Extra help is available for students that need it from 2:45 to 3:10. Each grade level and academic subject has developed a schedule of availability, which can be found on our campus webpage. Transportation is not provided. Students that need to stay after school for extra help need to bring home a GREEN after school pass provided by their teacher to get signed. Students without GREEN passes for extra help will not be admitted. We need to ensure that students that stay after school have made arrangements to get home. Thank you. For more information, please see the documents called "Mayde Creek Junior High After School Pass" and "MCJH After School Tutoring Availability" a the MCJH Parent Resources Page
