Angel Food Ministries is a national network of churches that offer various types of food boxes at very low prices to people under financial strain. The difference is that there are no qualifications to order, no applications, no calling agencies, no waiting in lines! There are different packages of food, including all meat; allergen free foods; all fruit & vegetables; pre-packaged ready to heat meals; holiday food; and an assortment box.
Certain locations even accept food stamps. There are no limitations on the amount ordered, but there is only one pick up date per month. Families may call or order online. I cannot vouch for the taste or quality, but I have spoken to people who feel it is quite good.
