Classes in grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 will progress through a two week keyboarding unit in our labs. With an enormous computer presence in schools, the question is no longer whether to teach keyboarding but when to teach it. Keyboarding is a motor skill. It is a matter of training fingers to respond correctly and quickly to press the correct key -- kind of like in athletics where you keep doing it over and over again until it becomes habit. Please help us mantain our keyboarding skills by working on several free online sites at home.
