Morton Ranch High School Volunteer Service Program Forms are located in the upper right side of this page or you can pick up a packet from your Grade Level Assistant Principal's Office.

This is just a MAVS Volunteer reminder. The last day for you to complete volunteer/community service hours for this school year is March 31st. The hours you have accumulated for this school year cannot be before April 1st of last school year. MAVS Volunteer Binders are due to your Grade Level AP’s office by Friday, April 3rd. If you have not signed up in your Grade Level AP’s office so you can receive volunteer opportunities through e-mail, please do so as soon as possible. Seniors, you will need to sign up in Mr. Celestine's office by March 13th to be eligible to receive your Volunteer Service honor cord for graduation.
Grade level requirements:
• Freshmen - 15 hours of documented community and/or school service.
• Sophomores - 30 hours of documented community and/or school service.
• Juniors - 45 hours of documented community and/or school service.
• Seniors - 60 hours of documented community and/or school service.
Service on site at MRHS will be limited to 10 hours. This does not mean that you have to have services on campus, but that the max number of on campus hours you can use is 10.

Katy Aquatics

Bridgewater
The Bridgewater Home Association is “decking the halls” in the neighborhood. Novermber 21st, we are decorsting the Lakes of Bridgewater entrance for Christmas and are in need of volunteers. Houston Hispanic Forum
The 24th annual Career and Education Day at the George R. Brown Convention Center is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2010 and they are in need of volunteers for the full day of events. Family Day Out
Family Day Out is a Saturday Respite program for children with ALL types of disabilities (ages 3-14) and their siblings (ages 3-10). It’s a time to play and have a day of fun while parents take a much-needed break! Volunteers (ages 15+) are matched with a child and become that child’s “Buddy” for the day, assisting with activities and play. Golbow Elementary
We are in need of some volunteers to tutor/mentor at risk kids. “Bluejay Buddies” meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00-3:30. Students could commit to one or both days. All the materials would be provided and I would train the high school students when we begin the program. I would like to begin the program in February. It is a non profit origination that helps take care of animals who have been abandoned or pet owners who are facing losing their homes and need help with their pets until they can find a place for them to stay.

Autumn Grove Cottage
Spend quality time with seniors in a cozy, home-like atmosphere at Autumn Grove Cottage, located nearby in the front of the Oak Park Trails subdivision. Autumn Grove Cottage is an assisted living facility for individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementias. Activities include arts and crafts, games, exercise, dancing, reading, writing and any other special talents you might have. You may volunteer after school and on weekends.
