Our nurse, Marty Wheeler, was awarded the Katy ISD Diane Hendry Excellence in School Nursing Award at the Health Services meeting held yesterday, May 21, 2008.  Marty was recommended for nomination by her fellow KISD Nurses.

Please help us congratulate the Rylander Teacher of the Year for the 2008-2009 school year, Rebecca McCormick!  Mr. Frailey presented Mrs. McCormick with the award today.  Mrs. McCormick will be a wonderful representative for our school.  We would also like to thank Karin Roberts for doing an awesome job as our Teacher of the Year this school year.

Barbara Zeigler, counselor at Rylander Elementary, has been named the Texas Elementary School Counselor of the Year by the Texas School Counselors Association. She will now be the Texas nominee for the American School Counselors Association Elementary Counselor of the Year.
