Dear Parents:

 Hello from Pre-K!  Our first field trip was a great success.  The kids had a great time at the farm, especially picking out their very own pumpkin and they also learned a lot of new things.  We would like to extend many thanks to the parent volunteers who joined us.  You were a great help and we really appreciated it!!  If you would like to accompany us on the next field trip, you are welcome once again. 

 We are asking that you continue working with your child at home to write their names, count to 20, recognize numbers and letters and go over initial sounds.  If you have any questions regarding your child’s advancement, please let us know at any time.

Our kindergarteners continue to grow and learn each day.  We are half way to first grade!!  With that in mind, at this time, it is our hope that each child knows all letters and sounds.  If your child does not, we strongly urge you to make flash cards and practice each evening at home.

The weather changes daily.  It may be cold in the morning and warm by the time we go to recess.  Please label all jackets and sweaters.  This will help us get lost items back to their owners!

Upcoming events….soon you will be getting information about our trip coming up in Feb. to the Main Street Theater to see Junie B. Jones! 

If you have not gotten your child a new box of crayons yet this year, please do so now.  The children love getting new crayons and are always inspired to do their best work when their supplies are in good shape.

Remember to check and empty folders each evening!!
