About Seven Lakes High School

Although the newest high school in Katy ISD, Seven Lakes High School has already established a strong foundation built on encouraging a positive atmosphere and creating cherished traditions.

The school prides itself on a welcoming, supportive learning environment for students to grow and flourish. Students practice the “Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens,” which promotes setting personal goals, working proactively and celebrating successes.

Seven Lakes offers a variety of student programs to apply these expectations. Organizations include academic decathlon, student council, speech and debate, theatre, band, choir, orchestra, cheerleading and dance team. The unique “Spartans Out Serving” program provides students an opportunity to give back to the community throughout their high school career.

Award-winning traditions are commonplace at the campus. The entire student body recently “caught the Spartan Spirit,” excitedly sending its girls cross country team to the state finals.

At Seven Lakes, the district’s goals in the areas of excellence and technology are evident. The building is equipped with an array of technological capabilities, preparing students for the future. The campus is complete with wireless technology, three computers per classroom, 16 computer labs, and a library with 30 computers, in addition to a full-time instructional technology facilitator.

Other features include a performing arts center, a ninth grade center, two dark rooms, four gymnasiums, four art labs, nine tennis courts and 25 science labs.

Staff, community and parental support is vital to student excellence. Teachers, who were hand-selected, are open to learning new, innovative teaching techniques. Additionally, the Seven Lakes Parent Teacher Student Association and staff currently have an impressive 100 percent enrollment.

Administrators and teachers alike hope to make Seven Lakes High School a place that provides the best academic programs anywhere in the state so that students are challenged and well-prepared for college and the workforce but can also look back on their high school memories as fun and rewarding.
