Katy ISD’s central office and all school campuses will be open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from June 7 through Aug. 5.  All district offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day and regular work hours will be worked July 6 through July 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The first day of school for the fall 2010 semester for all grades is Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, and parents of new students entering Katy ISD for the first time are asked to register their students prior to the beginning of classes.

Fall 2010 Registration for secondary and elementary students new to Katy ISD will begin in Aug. on the following dates:

• Secondary Students – Aug. 10-12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (A-L last names) and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (M-Z last names); Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. only; and Aug. 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. only.
• Elementary Students – Aug. 10, Aug. 12 and Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (A-L last names) and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (M-Z last names); and Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. only.
• Pre-Kindergarten – Aug. 11 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

There will be no registration Aug. 16 and Aug. 20.

Saturday, August 21, 9 am – Noon – All grade levels (no lockers*)
Students will pick up their schedules, textbooks and choose a locker*.
