TRACK & FIELD
Kyle placed 2nd in the 100 meter dash and 4th in the 200 meter dash at the UIL state track meet at the University of Texas on Saturday. This is a great accomplishment and solidifies Kyle as one on of the top high school sprinters in the country. The winner of the 100 meter dash has the second best time in the country, only behind the kid from Florida who Kyle raced at the Texas Relays a few weeks ago.
In a tight 200 meter dash race, Kyle edged the regional champion and was just edged by last year's state champion (they had the same time, but evidently video showed that the other kid just nipped him at the tape)...the winner of the 100 M dash was also the winner of the 200.
He did very well and ran his very best times of the year...he has established himself as the favorite to win both events next season...which is now his goal.
If you would like to see the races, go to www.flotrack.org.
