A public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Katy Independent School District Educational Support Complex Board Room located at 6301 South Stadium Lane, Katy, Texas regarding the ESEA Title I, Title II, and Title III programs as implemented in the 2011-2012 school year and as proposed for 2012-2013 school year. The staff and the public are invited to comment on the ESEA Title I Part A, Title II, and Title III programs. A written statement for the record must accompany all comments made.

Notification to Parents of Teacher Qualifications
As a parent of a student at Rhoads Elementary, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct your child, and Federal law requires the school district to provide you this information in a timely manner if you request it. Specifically, you have the right to request the following information about each of your child’s classroom teachers:
· Whether the teacher meets the state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grades and subjects he or she teaches.
· Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status because of special circumstances.
· The teacher’s college major, whether the teacher has any advanced degrees, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
· Whether paraprofessionals provide services to your child and, if so, their qualifications.

*A copy of the school's Title I Parent Involvement plan may be located in the school library.
Como padre de un alumno en la escuela Rhoads Elementary, Vd. tiene el derecho de conocer las calificaciones profesionales de los maestros que ensenan a su hijo, y la ley federal requiere que el distrito escolar le facilite esta informacion oportunamente si Vd. la pide.
