Katy ISD Volunteer Celebration Breakfast

Katy ISD’s annual volunteer celebration, the VIPS Breakfast, will be held in the Merrell Center Arena on Friday, May 17 from 9-10:30 a.m. Hosted by Katy ISD Partners in Education and the VIPS Executive Board, this annual event honors the thousands of school district volunteers who donate their time to our students and teachers. This year’s guest speaker is nationally acclaimed public school advocate Jamie Vollmer, author of the highly acclaimed book Schools Cannot Do It Alone.

The Volunteers in Public Schools Breakfast celebrates parents and community members who support their campuses through the district’s VIPS program and features the announcement of each campus volunteer of the year via principal videos. Elementary, junior high and high school students will provide entertainment. Last year, Katy ISD volunteers contributed over 700,000 hours in support of the district.
