VIPS are Volunteers in Public Schools...Volunteers who are the backbone of every campus and the true heartbeat of Katy ISD.
Los VIPS son los Voluntarios en Escuelas Públicas...Voluntarios que son el núcleo de toda escuela y el latido mismo del corazón del Distrito Escolar de Katy.
Whether you have a kindergartener, a senior or anyone in between, your talents and gifts are needed and have a direct impact not just on your own children, but on all of the students and teachers at their schools.
No importa si tu hijo está en kinder, está a punto de graduarse o está en algún punto intermedio, tus talentos y tus obsequios se necesitan y tienen un impacto directo no solament en tus propios hijos, sino en todos los alumnos y en los maestros de sus escuelas.
We may have more than 50 Katy ISD campuses now, but we're still one family, tied together by the children and staff at all schools. In celebration of our family bonds, we have developed the theme FAMILY TIES for the VIPS program this year.
Aunque tenemos más de 50 escuelas en el distrito escolar de Katy ahora mismo, seguimos siendo una sola familia, unida por los niños y el personal de todas las escuelas. Para celebrar nuestros vínculos, hemos desarrollado el tema de LAZOS FAMILIARES para el programa de VIPS este año.
You are cordially invited to a year-long family reunion called the 2009-2010 Katy ISD school year. Activities for the year include volunteering in workrooms and classrooms, at sporting and fine arts events, for carnivals and garage sales, for Junior Achievement and KEYS Mentors and much more! We'll also take time to celebrate our volunteers and community at Discover U and the Annual VIPS Celebration Breakfast.
Te invitamos cordialmente a una reunión familiar para todo el año que se llama el año escolar 2009-10 del Distrito Escolar de Katy. Entre las actividades para este año, incluimos el servicio voluntario en cuartos de trabajo y salones de clase, en eventos deportivos y de bellas artes, para carnavales o ventas de garage, para “Junior Achievement” (Logros Juveniles) y los Mentores KEYS y ¡mucho más! También apartamos tiempo para celebrar a nuestros voluntarios y a la comunidad en Discover U y en el Desayuno Anual de Celebración VIPS.

~ Operate a clearly defined, well-respected program that consistently, postively impacts campus staff and students;
~ Provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for all adults ultimately benefitting all students;
~ Continually develop an emerging volunteer base so that Katy ISD volunteerism reaches all generations and cultures;
~ Embrace positive relationships with the parent group organizations and the campus working as a team; and
~ Consistently educate, empower and inspire volunteer leaders.
~ Operamos un programa prestigioso y claramente definido que consistentemente tiene un impacto positivo en los alumnos y en el personal de las escuelas;
~ Proporcionamos oportunidades significativas de servicio voluntario para todos los adultos y que ultimadamente sirve como beneficio para todos los alumnos;
